With Christmas about a week away, dozens of children and parents made their way Tuesday night to the Merrifield Garden Center in Falls Church to tell Santa Claus what they wanted.

One by one children climbed onto Santa’s lap and read their wish list for Christmas. As the children read their lists, parents snapped pictures and a few even took the opportunity for family portraits.

Santa will be at the Winter Wonderland through Dec. 23. His hours are from 5 p.m. through 8 p.m. Friday and noon through 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
