Falls Church Schools Stay Open; Other Activities Canceled
Schools will not be closing early, however some other activities and events are canceled or postponed.
Falls Church City Public Schools officials are watching the weather carefully, but are not planning to close schools early today due to the coming snow.
Snow is expected to start falling around 2 p.m. today and continue through the evening rush hour.
According to Falls Church City Public Schools officials:
- Swim meet to Bristol, VA is canceled.
- Boys Basketball scheduled for tonight is postponed until Saturday (same time).
- Wrestling scheduled for Saturday is canceled (not to be rescheduled).
Schools in the Fairfax County Public Schools system are closing two hours early today.
