The weekend is almost here!

  1. The Citizens Advisory Committee on Transportation will hold a meeting at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall.
  2. The deadline for the stormwater survey mailed to every City single-family home has been extended to Dec. 20. Instructions for completing the paper or online versions of the survey are included in the mailing. Respondents will need the individual Real Property Code provided in the letter in order to complete either version of the survey.
  3. On this day in 1986, Voyager, piloted by Dick Rutan and Jeana Yeager, took off from Edwards Air Force Base (California) on the first non-stop, non-refueled flight around world.
  4. On this day in 1995, AIDS patient Jeff Getty recieves baboon bone marrow transplant.
  5. If today is your birthday, you share it with actress Patty Duke (65-years-old) and French poet Nostradamus (508-years-old). Happy birthday!
