Guns Stolen From a Falls Church Gun Shop Recovered

Police said there are still a few guns still unaccounted for.

Some of the nine guns stolen from a Falls Church gun shop during a July 25 burglary have been recovered.

The nine handguns were stolen from NOVA Firearms during the burglary but police aren’t saying how many guns were recovered. Susan Finarelli, a spokeswoman for the City of Falls Church, said there is an ongoing multi-jurisdictional investigation to collect the remaining stolen guns.

Jan Kemp, spokeswoman for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and city officials said they cannot say if there were any arrests or how many of the guns were recovered.

“The ongoing investigation precludes the City of Falls Church Police Department from commenting further at this time,” Finarelli said in a written statement.

Police responded to the gun shop around 2:26 a.m. on July 25 and found the glass broken from a door at the business. In July, the owner of the gun shop refused to elaborate on the specific type of handguns stolen in the burglary.
