Stadium Lights Going up at Falls Church School [VIDEO]

Work crews put up bases for 14 light poles to go up Friday.

The lights at George Mason High School’s baseball-softball complex are just about up.

Work crews put in the bases for all 14 light poles (eight at the baseball field and six at the softball field) Thursday.

The lights will be up in time for the April 2 baseball and softball games against Madison County High.

The George Mason Athletic Boosters is raising the majority of the $450,000 needed to put the lights up. Falls Church City Public School board voted and approved $110,000 toward the project.

Patch was there to watch the installation Thursday. Click the media player at right to see a video clip of the process.
