Whiz Kid: Matt Livingston

Livingston masters balancing academics and athletics.

Each week, Falls Church Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens, and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments. We want to hear about these amazing children and teens and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid.

This week’s Whiz Kid is Matt Livingston.

Matt, 12, of Falls Church, is a student in Falls Church. Since he was in the first grade, Matt has been learning to speak French and was enrolled in Kent Gardens Elementary School’s French Emersion Program. Matt also plays the violin. He is also last year’s recipient of the Kent Gardens Principal Award given to the student that best exemplifies the qualities of a pupil at the school.

Matt plays on the Chantilly Striker soccer team and plays select basketball for McLean and Falls Church youth basketball teams. Matt is also a former little leaguer from the Falls Church Kiwanis Little League Baseball club.
