Register for Marshall HS SAT Bootcamp and Falls Church HS Plant Sale Underway

Check out these happenings in and near Falls Church on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

If you are the parent of a student taking the SAT this year, Marshall High School will host a Catalyst SAT Bootcamp on Sept. 21 and 22. Wednesday is the last day to register your child for this weekend seminar. The cost is $165 and a portion of proceeds benefit Marshall PTSA. Fairfax County is offering Medicare 101, a two-three hour program on Medicare basics, at 11 a.m. at Tysons-Pimmit Regional Library. For more information visit www.fairfaxcounty.gov/dfs/olderadultservices/vicap.htm.

Drink up and join the Arlington Food Assistance Center in taking action to fight hunger in the community. From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Dogfish Head Alehouse in Falls Church, 6363 Seven Corners Center, 20 percent of the proceeds will benefit AFAC.  The event includes a raffle and live music. 703-534-3342.
