Local University Offering New Specializations in Master of Information Systems

For students pursuing careers in IT, Virginia International University (VIU) of Fairfax, VA has expanded its already broad offerings in the School of Computer Information Systems. VIU is excited to announce seven new specializations within the MIS program! Starting in the Summer I 2014 semester, students enrolling in the MIS program will be able to pursue any of the following specializations:

· Knowledge Management

· Data Management

New course offerings will include classes focusing on risk management, program management, investment, information assurance, big data, data mining, data warehousing, and ethics – among many other popular topics on the rise in IT!

The Master of Science in Information Systems (MIS) equips students with the core knowledge they need to be successful. Information systems theory is combined with business theory and practical application to make MIS graduates competitive candidates in a booming industry.

Courses will be available both on-ground and online!
