A Falls Church choir has been tapped to perform in the gubernatorial inauguration next month in Richmond.
The Terry McAuliffe Inaugural Committee announced Monday the participants in the inaugural ceremony of Gov.-Elect McAuliffe.
"We're excited about the impressive and diverse group of individuals who are participating in the inaugural ceremony," said Executive Director Brynne Craig. "The Governor-elect, future First Lady, and the Inaugural Committee are looking forward to a memorable day filled with some of the most respected talent from across the Commonwealth."
WCC singers have performed at The Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap Performing Arts Center and the White House. Singers ages 4 through 18 from throughout the greater Washington, DC area attend weekly rehearsals in Falls Church. The World Children's Choir (WCC) is a non-profit organization founded by Harnes, along with Rosalind Paterson (choir president) and Judith Penniman (choir CFO) back in 1990.
