Falls Church Farmers Market Hours Expanding Beginning Saturday

Chef series kicks off April 19; see full calendar here.

The City of Falls Church Farmers Market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon starting Saturday, April 5. The extended hours will last through December. Over 35 vendors offer locally grown fruits and vegetables, cheeses, meats, baked goods, plants, and wine. Even more vendors will join the market come May 3.

The 2014 Chef Series kicks off on April 19 with a Chef Tracy O'Grady from Willow Restaurant. The Chef Series brings local Washington, DC, area restaurants into the Market to develop recipes using local, seasonal food showcasing the bounty of the Mid-Atlantic region.

The Series also highlights the importance of eating local seasonal food for the health of our environment, economy, and ourselves. Free demonstrations and tastings starting at9 a.m., the complete schedule is below:

  • Saturday, April 19: Willow Restaurant featuring Chef Tracy O'Grady
  • Saturday, May 20: 2941 featuring Chef Bertrand Chemel
  • Saturday, June 7: Mad Fox Brewing Company featuring Chef Andrew Dixon
  • Sat., July 28 – Bastille featuring Chefs Christophe & Michelle Poteaux
  • Saturday, July 19: 2941 featuring Chef Caitlin Dysart
  • Saturday, August 9: Willow Restaurant featuring Chefs Tracy O'Grady & Kate Jensen
  • Saturday, Sept. 20: Lebanese Taverna featuring Chefs Grace Shea & JT Comfort
  • Saturday, Oct. 18: Mad Fox Brewing Company featuring Chef Andrew Dixon
  • Saturday, Nov. 8: Pizzeria Orso featuring Chef Will Artley
