Falls Church Memorial Day Road Closures, Parking for Parade

Find out where you can park during the Memorial Day Parade and Festival.

The 32nd Annual Memorial Day Parade and Festival could make getting around the City of Falls Church difficult on Monday.

Several roads will be closed to allow for the Don Beyer 3K Fun Run, pedestrian foot traffic and the parade.

Two Falls Church Crossing Guards Named Co-Grand Marshals for Memorial Day Parade

From 6 a.m. through 5:30 p.m., Park Avenue will be closed from N. Maple Ave. to N. Virginia Ave. and Little Falls St. will be closed from Park Ave. to Great Falls St. During the Don Beyer Volvo 3K Fun Run which starts at 9 a.m., streets along the route – the run begins at Little Falls and Great Falls Sts., then goes left (west) down Great Falls St., then left on Pennsylvania Ave., right on Fulton Ave., right on N. Oak St., left on Lincoln Ave., left on N. West St. and left on Park Ave. ending at Little Falls St. (see the route map here) – will be closed between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Lincoln and West streets and Park Avenue will be closed for parade staging for bands, cars and floats.

Motorists shouldn’t park in private parking lots with “towing enforced” signs but will be allowed to park along side streets. People are advised to check signs to see how long they’re allowed to park on side streets.
