FIVE THINGS: Falls Church Government Closed Today, Tuesday

Winter break sports camp starts Wednesday at the Falls Church Community Center.

1-    City of Falls Church government and Falls Church City Public Schools will be closed today and Tuesday for Christmas.

2-    The All American Sports Camp will start Wednesday for children six through 12-years-old. This is the first year the camp is being held over the winter break. Over the last five years, it has only been held over the summer. There is a fee for the camp and it is open to residents in and outside the city.

3-    Trash pickup will go on as scheduled on Wednesday in the city.

4-    If you or anyone you know is experiencing domestic violence, the City of Falls Church offers a number of domestic violence resources and referrals via www.fallschurchva.gov/DViolence or 703-248-5005 (TTY 711). City residents can also access Fairfax County’s information on domestic violence at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/dsm/dviolence.

5-    If you are celebrating a birthday on Dec. 24, you share it with television personality Ryan Seacrest, singer Ricky Martin and millionaire Howard Hughes. Happy birthday!
