FIVE THINGS: Taste of Falls Church
It's also just one more day before the Mary Riley Styles Public Library reopens.
1- On Saturday, ring in the autumn season with live entertainment, amusement rides, crafts and local businesses and civic organizations. Local restaurants and vendors will be on hand offering tastes of their food at the Taste of Falls Church.
2- The will be closed through Friday for interior painting. The library will reopen Saturday.
3- The City of Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department fall brochure is now available and residents can register for a variety of classes and activities for all ages.

4- The Falls Church city council work session and Planning Commission meetings scheduled for Monday, Sept. 17, have been canceled, mostly due to Rosh Hashanah and expected attendance.
5- If you’re celebrating a birthday on Sept. 14, you share it with playwright Tyler Perry, Hall of Fame NBA basketball coach Larry Brown and star of “The Lone Ranger,” Clayton Moore. Happy birthday!
