Weather Forecasters Predict Cold Blast Late Next Week

Brrrr! Colder weather is likely headed our way later next week.

Better start looking for a jacket. A faraway typhoon named Wipha could eventually bring pretty cold temperatures to the DC metro area later next week, according to weather forecasters.

Here's what the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang have to say about how cold it might get and when:

"How cold are we talking? Preliminary indications are that by late next week, highs may only be in the 50s, with lows in the 30s and the possibility of a frost or freezing conditions in D.C.’s north and west suburbs."

The Weather Channel's weather.com shows that Falls Church will see a high of 60 next Wednesday, Oct. 23, with a low of 42 degrees; a high of 55 degrees the following day, with a low of 38 degrees and by Friday, Falls Church will see a high of just 53 degrees with a low of 35 degrees.

Those temperatures are about 10 degrees below the averages for Falls Church for this time of year.

The average high for Falls Church in October is 69 degrees, according to The Weather Channel. The average low for Falls Church in October is 47 degrees.
