It’s Thursday. The weekend is so close you can almost taste it. Downside? You’ve got no idea what to do during your two days of freedom.

Patch is coming to the rescue. We've picked out some of the best events around Fairfax County for your done-work-outta-here time. Is it 5 p.m. on Friday yet?

Why Go: If you've had a long work week and you're looking for a way to unwind, be sure to check out this event - as an added bonus, there will be great food and refreshments!

Where/When: , 120 Cherry St. SE, Vienna. Friday, 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Why Go: will be presenting this concert to raise money for the store's two foundations: Whole Planet Foundation and One Voice. All ticket proceeds will be donated to the organizations.

Pricing: Tickets are $15 and include raffle entry and refreshments.

Where/When: , 220 N Washington St, Falls Church. Saturday, 8 p.m.

Why Go: This is D.C.'s biggest Mardi Gras celebration! If you're interested, be sure to grab some tickets - the event will likely sell out. As an added incentive, the first 200 party-goers inside the doors will receive free Mardi Gras masks!

Pricing: Tickets, $14.

Where/When: , 3320 Jermantown Rd, Oakton. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: If you're looking for a job and interested in working in an independent school, then this job fair is for you. According to the event listing, "The hiring fair at Flint Hill features workshops, lunch, and interviews for prospective employees at independent schools." Visit the school's website for more information on the event.
