Guests in Town for Inauguration Weekend? What to do in Falls Church

Where to go, what to do and where to eat in Falls Church this weekend if you're hosting out-of-town guests for the 2013 Presidential Inauguration.

Do you have guests in town for Inauguration Weekend?

Chances are, your guests will want to do more than sit on your couch waiting for the second inauguration of President Barack Obama on Monday. So, we’ve rounded up some things you can do right here in Falls Church to keep your guests entertained and happy.

You have to visit Cherry Hill Park and the Cherry Hill Farm House in Falls Church to get a glimpse of the Victorian house where re-enactors play out life during the Civil War era.

You may also want to swing by The State Theatre (220 N Washington St Falls Church, VA22046) on Saturday for the Grassroots Inaugural Gala and Fund Raiser starting at 7:30 p.m.

If you get hungry, you might consider Elevation Burger (442 S Washington StFalls Church, VA 22046) for a quick bite. Elevation Burger was chosen best for milkshakes in Falls Church in our 2012 Readers' Choice contest.

The NFL playoffs continue Sunday afternoon and evening, and you can watch them at the Mad Fox Brewing Co.—which also has great burgers, by the way.

And you can walk off those burgers, milkshakes and beer along the W&OD Trail.

There are more weekend events listed in our Falls Church Patch events calendar—and you can add your own events to our calendar, too.
