How Long Is This Cold Air Sticking Around in Northern Virginia?

Although Northern Virginia didn't see any snow flurries Tuesday, the area did experience plunging temperatures, with highs just up to 40 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

With 20-MPH winds, it's chilly out there! (The average high for November: 58 degrees.)

So how long is the cold air sticking around? According to the National Weather Service, here's what we can expect the next few days:

  • Tuesday night: Lows in the upper 20s
  • Wednesday: Sunny, highs in mid-40s
  • Thursday: Sunny, highs in the mid-50s
  • Friday: Mostly sunny, highs in mid-50s
  • Saturday: Partly sunny, highs in upper-50s
  • Sunday: Mostly cloudy, highs near 60
