NWS: Winter Weather Advisory for Northern Virginia

Snow will likely impact morning commute.

Get ready for more snow that will likely impact Wednesday morning commutes across Northern Virginia.

Northern Virginia is under a Winter Weather Advisory from 1 a.m. to noon Wednesday. The NWS predicts 1-3 inches of snow. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-20s.

Forecasters expect the snow to impact the morning commute; roadways could be slick especially with snow starting before dawn.

Will schools close? Capital Weather Gang gives it 1.5 out of four apples; they say there is a "better than 50-50" chance of delay and a 25 percent chance of school being closed.

The Gang's "FedCast"? A 50 percent chance of a delay or unscheduled leave option.
