Photos: The Washington Navy Yard Shooting
The shootings shut down Reagan National Airport, roads, schools, parts of the Metro system and the U.S. Senate while a massive manhunt continued for other possible shooters.

A shooting at the Washington Navy Yard on Monday, Sept. 16, left 13 dead and four wounded. It was a hectic day for thousands of federal employees and their families, and the shooting made national news.
Here are some photos from the scene and a candlelight vigil that was held at Freedom Plaza on Monday evening.
