Saturday's Murder 11th in Falls Church City Since 1980

Susan Finarelli, spokeswoman for the city, said there were murders in 1997 and another in 2004. There were no details of those murders. She said The Vu, 39, the second man found shot to death at the Eden Center on Saturday, suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Tuesday, some people at the Eden Center didn’t know who Vu was but remembered Phan, 49, of Annandale, as a musician and overall good person.

A makeshift memorial for Phan still sits behind the at the Eden Center.
“He was such a nice guy,” Kenny Tran said of Phan. “I knew him as a friend.”

Police around 10 p.m. Saturday and found Phan dead behind a building and around 11:30 p.m., they found Vu dead in a car from a gunshot wound to the head. There is still no motive in the shootings.
