The Scoop on Traffic Saturday, During Hillary Clinton Campaign Stop for McAuliffe

Traffic will be tied up Saturday near the State Theatre in Falls Church.

Falls Church could see something of a traffic jam Saturday. That's when Hillary Clinton will be in town for a campaign stop with Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe.

The event will take place at The State Theatre, with doors opening at 1 p.m.

Here's the lowdown on the traffic situation and road closures:

Between 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, Park Place, located beside The State Theatre, 220 N. Washington St., will be closed, according to the Public Information Office for the City of Falls Church. 

During that time, there will be no vehicle access from the public lot on Park Place onto that street.

Pedestrian access along the 100 and 200 blocks of N. Washington Street will be diverted behind the office buildings on that block.

Street parking along Park Place will be prohibited beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday morning until 5 p.m. Saturday night.

Residents are advised to seek alternate routes as traffic along N. Washington and the surrounding area will likely be impacted by the event.
