Water Main Break Affects Falls Church Water Customers

Haycock Road is blocked in both directions at Leesburg Pike.

A water main break on Haycock Road in Falls Church has left several people without water or with low water pressure. Haycock Road is closed off at Leesburg Pike in both directions while crews repair the water main.

There is no exact number of how many customers are affected.

Susan Finarelli, spokeswoman for the City of Falls Church, said the break was reported around 6:30 p.m. Falls Church Water work crews are on the scene repairing the water main and there is no timetable for when the repairs will be complete.

“We’re asking people to conserve water,” Finarelli said. “We’re aware it’s the holidays and water customers may have family over and we’re working hard to get the water main repaired.”

Finarelli said she is not sure of the cause of the water main break.
