September Visiting Artist Donna Byrne at Stifel & Capra: Award-winning artist Donna Byrne works primarily with acrylic on canvas. She often paints pieces in a series and is currently working on “Floral Abstractions” and “Looking In” series. Her inspiration comes from abstract expressionist such as Kandinsky, Rothko and Klee.

The Muppets: Catch the final film of the summer on the big screen in Cherry Hill Park as part of the ninth annual Sunset Cinema in the Park series. National Capital Model Soldier Society Show: Check out the 51st annual NCMSS show featuring hundreds of model soldiers by U.S. and foreign artists, sci-fi/fantasy crafters and plastic modelers. Plus, visit more than 100 vendor tables selling figure kits, toy soldiers, Russian-painted figures, fantasy figures, plastic models, military history books, videos, military music and militaria.

Three For A Song Presents Greatest Songs You've Never Heard
: Catch piano/vocal trio Three For A Song at ArtSpace Falls Church on Saturday night for an evening of recently discovered, never performed 1930s gems from the Library of Congress song archives and from pianist Alex Hassan's collection of over 40,000 pieces of sheet music. Three For A Song has received standing ovations at venues such as the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage "Jazz Club," the Coolidge Auditorium at the Library of Congress, the Georgetown Capitol Speakers Club, the Arts Club of Washington and numerous private events up and down the East Coast since the debut of Greatest Songs You’ve Never Heard. This performance is presented by Creative Cauldron.
