Spend the holiday weekend enjoying some more warm weather, restaurant deals around the Little City, an open studio with local scenic director Margie Jervis, a relaxing morning at the farmers market, three Hawaiian-themed performances or a celebration of local musicians at the 26th Annual Wammies.

Passport to the World - Restaurant Deals: Creative Cauldron is partnering with local ethnic Falls Church restaurants during its Passport to the World festival. Every time you attend a Passport performance or dine at one of the Cauldron's partnering restaurants during the festival, make sure to get your passport stamped (in the back of your festival brochure calendar). The more stamps, the more prizes you'll receive Check out this week's Passport Deals at Pilin Thai and Pizzeria Orso. Look for upcoming deals with Ireland's Four Provinces and Red White & Bleu.

Open Studio with Margie Jervis: The scenic director of Creative Cauldron will hold an open studio at ArtSpace Falls Church for the next three weeks. The public can experience her technique and craftsmanship as she designs and constructs the scenery, puppets and costumes for upcoming productions held at ArtSpace.

Hui o Ka Pua 'Ilima: Creative Cauldron presents a performance from this Polynesian dance troop as part of the Passport to the World festival. Hui o Ka Pua Il'ima will  perform traditional and contemporary songs and dances of Hawai'i and the Polynesian islands of New Zealand and Tahiti.

Tales from Hawaii Story Theater: Creative Cauldron and Hui o Ka Pua I'lima present a family-friendly, interactive afternoon of storytelling, music and dance as part of the Passport to the World festival.

Gamelan Wrhatnala: Costumed dancers and musicians will play Gamelan instruments, consisting of met allophones, drums, gongs, flutes and cymballs at this Passport to the World event at ArtSpace Falls Church. The troupe has performed at the Smithsonian institutions, the Kennedy Center and the Library of Congress.

26th Annual Wammies: The members of the Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) will shine the spotlight on local musicians, music business professionals and music organizations at the 26th Annual Wammies, held at the State Theatre. Live performances will celebrate top musicians as they are awarded for their accomplishments. Performers include The Thrillbillys, the Bad Influence Band, King Teddy and many more.
