October Visiting Artist at Stifel & Capra: Mary Brophy Marcus: In the Alcove Gallery on the second floor is Mary Brophy Marcus. A Fine Art and English major in college, Mary now works as a journalist by day and paints at night. Her influences are the artists who painted in France in the late 1800s and early 20th century, street/graffiti art, folk art from around the world and the sea.

Cole Porter: You're the Top!: Catch a performance of this musical review featuring Cole Porter standards like "Take Me Back to Manhattan" and "I Get a Kick Out of You." This original Creative Cauldron production follows Porter from Paris in the roaring '20s to Broadway and Hollywood's Golden Age. Sean Thompson (Edgar Allen Poe in the Cauldron’s critically-acclaimed Nevermore) and Helen Hayes Award-winner Carolyn Cole (Women of the Blues) star in this smashing season opener!

Chef Rock and the DC Central Kitchen Culinary Students at the Falls Church Farmers Market Chef Demonstration: The Falls Church Farmers Market presents this chef demonstration featuring Chef Rock and the DC Central Kitchen Culinary Students. The chef will prepare two to three dishes over a two-hour period, answers questions and makes modifications as suggested by participants. Tastings and recipes are available throughout the morning.
