Looking for a professional magician to make your children laugh and stare in pure disbelief? Look no further.

Drew Kennerley, 19, is a professional magician who performs shows for children in Falls Church and around the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area.

Kennerly has practiced magic since his grandmother bought him a magic set when he was eight years old.

“I instantly fell in love with the art and found it awesome to entertain people by doing the impossible,” Kennerly said. “I remember that one of the first tricks I ever had was where you pushed multiple spikes through a coin which later came out unharmed. I thought it was so cool that such a simple solution could create such a large effect on an audience.”

Kennerly first started his business, Drew Kennerley Magic, in 2010 at the age of 15.

“Before I created my business, I think my family (especially my dad) was a bit skeptical of my aspirations of becoming a full-time magician, but once I started making money with my magic, they saw the potential for magic as a career.”

Kennerly was raised in Fairfax, VA where he attended Robinson Secondary School. He enrolled in drama and business classes to sharpen his performance skills and grow his business.

Kennerly currently studies tourism and event management at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. He is a member of The Society of American Magicians and says he plans to pursue magic as a full-time career.

“It won't be easy to make a living in the performance arts industry, but I am determined to make it work. I believe I am on the right track to making my dreams come true.”

We hired Drew for our son's 7th birthday party. I was a bit concerned that he'd be able to keep the kids' attention for the full 40 minutes of his show, but the kids LOVED him! He was engaging and fun. As a bonus, all the parents in the room enjoyed the show too.
