New Falls Church Business Makes Instant Contribution to Community

Office Depot makes contribution to three local charities

Before they held their first door buster sale, the new Office Depot in the Crossroads Place shopping center on Leesburg Pike in Falls Church, they gave back to their new community.

At the grand opening Thursday, the new store donated checks for $100 and 100 book bags to three local charities. Executive Director Donna Englander, who accepted the charitable gifts for her organization, said the gifts will be put to good use right away. Fairfax County Mason District Supervisor Penelope A. Gross and Sen. Mary Margaret Whipple (D-Arlington) were also on hand at the ribbon cutting ceremony.

“It’s rather unique that we were invited to be one of the recipients,” Englander said at the ribbon cutting ceremony. “We’re very excited and we’ll be able to put these to use right away.”
