Pizzeria Orso Changing Kids Birthday Parties in Falls Church

Kids can make the meal for their pizza parties.

Next time your son or daughter asks for a pizza party for their birthday, consider this option:

Instead of having the kids come into Pizzeria Orso and order pizza, Chef Will Artley has opened his kitchen to the kids.

Artley said he’s already hosted two of the parties and has had a great time teaching the kids how to make pizza.

“Just watching them learn what it’s about and teaching them where there food comes from is great,” Artley said.

Artley said he wanted to do something where he could teach kids where pizza came from and how to make their own.

The pizza party classes are held at the restaurant Saturday's and Sunday's at 2:30 p.m. or 4 p.m. Artley said there is a minimum of 10 kids per class at $15 a child. Children are given an apron and chef hat before the class starts.

“I thought this would be fun,” Artley said. “I get to reach out to kids and teach them something.”
