Three Falls Church-Area Restaurants to Participate in Restaurant Week
It starts next week; will you be trying one of these restaurants?
Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week begins next week and at least three Falls Church-area restaurants will be participating.
Restaurant Week is held Jan. 13-19 and offers diners three-course, prix-fixe meals (usually with several choices for all three courses) at a special price: Lunch for $20.14 and dinner for $35.14.
The participating Falls Church-area restaurants are 2941 Restaurant, 2941 Fairview Park Dr., and Pizzeria Orso, 400 S. Maple Ave. Another nearby restaurant that's participating is TRIO Grill, 8100 Lee Highway in Merrifield (dinner only for Restaurant Week).
Here's what's on the LUNCH menu at 2941 (which combination would you choose?) for Restaurant Week:
APPETIZER
- Beet Salad dried cranberry, goat cheese, pistachio vinaigrette
- Salsify Velouté celery root, potato flakes, mushroom foam
- Crispy Calamari roasted peppers, cannellini beans, chorizo aioli
MAIN COURSE
- Winter Vegetable Lovers tart flambé served with roasted, sauteed & caramelized winter vegetables
- Veal Papardelle braised veal Milanese, oregano, parmesan cheese, orange gremolata
- *Salmon a L'oseille sorrel sauce, scallion, baby carrot
DESSERT
- Milk Chocolate Panna Cotta brownie, tangerine, blood orange sorbet
- Coconut Layer Cake coconut macaroon cake, lemon cream, coconut mousse, Thai basil
APPETIZER
- Crispy Calamari roasted peppers, cannellini beans, chorizo aioli
- Salsify Velouté celery root, potato flakes, mushroom foam
- *Beef Tartare poached quail egg, Dijon mustard, arugula, Parmesan cheese
- Beet Salad dried cranberry, goat cheese, pistachio vinaigrette
- Winter Salad caramelized popcorn, peanuts, shaved Brussels sprouts & red cabbage
MAIN COURSE
- Winter Vegetable Lovers tart flambé served with roasted, sauteed & caramelized winter vegetables
- Veal Papardelle braised veal Milanese, oregano, Parmesan cheese, orange gremolata
- *Salmon a L'oseille sorrel sauce, scallion, baby carrot
- *Grilled Pork Loin trio of farro, barley & quinoa, escarole, apple cider glaze
DESSERT
- Milk Chocolate Panna Cotta brownie, tangerine, blood orange sorbet
- Coconut Layer Cake coconut macaroon cake, lemon cream, coconut mousse, Thai basil
- Sticky Toffee Pudding roasted pineapple, lime sherbet, crème fraîche
