  1. George Mason High Athletic Trainer Vicki Galliher will be presenting a talk on the impact of concussions on student athletes Wednesday at 7 p.m. inside the Mustang Café at the school. 
  2. Celebrate Library Lovers Month at the Original Pancake House on Thursday. The restaurant is donating 15 percent of gross sales from that day to the Mary Riley Styles Public Library Foundation Trust.
  3. On this day in 1944, the U.S. 8th Air Force bombs Enschede, Arnhem and Nijmegen by mistake. More than 800 people were killed.
  4. On this day in 1979, St. Lucia gains independence from Britain.
  5. If today is your birthday, you share it with NBA great Julius “Dr. J” Erving (62-years-old) and the first President of the United States George Washington (280-years-old). Happy birthday!
