  1. Join the City Manager for a Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, March 17, starting at 10 a.m. in the Community Center. The proposed Fiscal Year 2013 Budget will be presented with a Q&A opportunity for attendees.
  2. March 16th is the final date for mulch orders if you wish your mulch to be delivered to your home by the Boy Scouts the weekend of March 23rd-24th 2012. Falls Church Troop 895 is in the final week of its 13th Annual Fundraising Mulch sale. Bags containing 3 cubic feet of double processed hardwood mulch are offered for sale at a price of $4.85 delivered!  Delivery area includes Falls Church City and adjacent areas of Fairfax County and Arlington. Order forms are still available at www.troop895.us, from your local Troop 895 Boy Scout or contact mulch@troop895.us.
  3. Enjoy a lively evening of Irish music at the Cherry Hill Farmhouse with the band Isle of Treora. Jigs, reels, hornpipes and ballads will be played on fiddle, banjo, guitar, bouzouki and bodhran. All this takes place in the intimate setting of the farmhouse parlor. Tickets are $15.
  4. On this day in 1967, President John F. Kennedy's body moved from temporary grave to a permanent memorial.
  5. If today is your birthday, you share it with music composer Quincy Jones (79-years-old) and physicist Albert Einstein (133-years-old). Happy birthday!
