Powerball Estimated Jackpot Sitting at $320 Million

Falls Church residents have had luck drawing winning Powerball tickets in the past.

An estimated $320 million Powerball jackpot is at stake during Saturday’s 11 p.m. drawing.

Alan Hussey, economic research manager with Virginia Lottery, said the cash payout would be $198.3 million and the ticket holder would receive $140.8 after taxes.

It was estimated earlier in the week that Virginia would sell $3.6 million in tickets but has actually sold closer to $3.8 million. Tickets are $2 each.
