Week in Review

There were several headlines out of Falls Church this week including the biggest one that ended the week.

A teacher at George Marshall High was accused of making an African American student read a Langston Hughes poem, “.” Fairfax County Public Schools officials said the allegation is under investigation.

The final two candidates in the city council race let the public know what their intentions are if they are voted in during the May elections. and are the final two of seven candidates running for three seats. Wyatt Shields announced his for the City of Falls Church. The city manager has proposed a $69 million budget for fiscal year 2013.

Two local high school athletes made announcements of where they will spend the next four years of their lives. , of George Mason High and of Falls Church High will be heading off to the College of William and Mary and Glenville State College respectively.
