The University of the District of Columbia’s Photography Club is pleased to announce the opening of our third annual photography exhibition “Version” running November 9th thru the 18th in conjunction with FotoWeek DC. Artist’s reception to be held November 14th, 7:30PM, Gallery 42, 4200 Connecticut Ave NW, UDC Campus Building 42 A-Level.
“Version: a written work recast in a new form” is a collaborative photography exhibition presented by the University of the District of Columbia’s Photography Club for FotoWeek DC 2012. The exhibition melds the visual and literary worlds, creating images of personal expression through adaptation and interpretation. Whether poetry, proverb, lyric, or song each photograph brings with it the photographer’s unique perspectives, culture, and influence to represent their “Version.”
The University of the District of Columbia’s Photography Club has exhibited work nationally and internationally through our academic relationship with other talented universities. This year we are thrilled to be exhibiting with The American University, George Mason University, The George Washington University, and Dar Al Hekma College in Saudi Arabia.
