Free Mastering Yoga Basics for Beginners and Beyond at Dream Yoga Studio

As part of Free Class Week: Mastering Yoga Basics for Beginners and Beyond

5 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.

This moderately-paced class provides a solid foundation for your yoga practice, refining

your knowledge of important Hatha Yoga basics. You'll explore the major

categories of yoga postures--standing standing, balancing, seated &

reclining postures, cleansing twists, beginning backbends, basic

inversions. We'll also practice the Sun Salutation or other "flows" of

yoga poses & relaxation.

You will engage in yoga stretches & warm-ups that increase range of motion & prepare the body for the deeper postures.  Plus learn proper alignment of poses, and breathing techniques that both calm & energize you. You will gain greater body awareness & learn ways to adapt poses as needed to practice to your safe yoga edge.

You'll be encouraged to practice Kripalu Yoga-style mindfulness,

to challenge yourself appropriately, and honor your body's individual

needs. You will experience greater flexibility and strength, stress

relief, improved posture and focus, and mind-body-spirit harmony.
