Luke Brindley & Friends Spring Spectacular + Savage Bones

Luke will be joined by Friends: Jon Carroll (Mary Chapin Carpenter), Chip Johnson (The Alternate Routes, Stephen Kellogg And The Sixers), Nate Read, Owen Danoff, Ruut, and more!

After touring nationally for close to a decade and releasing 7 critically acclaimed albums, singer/songwriter Luke Brindley suddenly found himself at home in Reston, Virginia without a band to tour with or an album to produce. For some musicians, at the least, this might have been a time to rest; at most, it may have been a step toward a different career. For Brindley, it was a chance to root himself in his home life and nourish his creativity. The result: in five months, he had written 50 songs.

This musical burst lead Brindley to his largest and most ambitious creative endeavor to date, known simply as BRINDLEY. Each Monday, Brindley releases a new song at brindleymusic.com. That means each week, a new song is written, recorded and released. Fans are encouraged to "Pay What You Feel" and download the song for free or make a contribution to the project. All songs are produced by Chip Johnson of Alpine Red Studios in Gainesville, VA. Luke is also blogging daily at brindleymusic.com chronicling the project and on various topics including creativity, songwriting, family, and guitar.

Brindley is a staple of the Washington, DC music scene. His songwriting has earned him several Washington Area Music Award nominations including Songwriter of the Year.

Of Luke's previous releases, Acoustic Guitar magazine says he has "the rambling acoustic environment of New Morning—era Dylan and the smokiness of early Townes Van Zandt...his own compelling musical voice." Paste Magazine says, "Digging deep and mining for the soul...One Of The Top 12 Albums of the Year" The Washington Post says, "Magical...an early contender for one the best albums of the year." Equally at home on the stage, The Washington Times says of Luke's live performance "no song goes untouched by the energy and pure infectious joy of Luke's performance...a mastery of pop songcraft and stagecraft."

Though not touring much these days, when Brindley does return to the stage, he usually does it at Jammin Java, the music venue owned by Brindley and his brothers that has been named one of D.C.'s best music venues by Washington City Paper and annually one of Pollstar music business magazine's Top 100 Clubs in the world.
