Forum on Water System Referendum

Co-sponsored by The League of Women Voters of Falls Church and the Village Preservation and Improvement Society.  City Manager, Wyatt Shields, will present the referendum, which will appear on the Nov. 5 election ballot and discuss the process through which the agreement was reached, followed by a Question and Answer session.

The referendum seeks voter approval to sell the Falls Church Water Utility to Fairfax Water for $40 million.  The terms of the sale, negotiated with the assistance of a federal mediator, have been approved by the Falls Church City Council, the Fairfax Water Board of Directors and the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.
