Team in Training Information Meeting

Team in Training (TNT) began in 1988, when Bruce Cleland assembled a team of 38 runners for the New York City marathon. The team raised $322,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) in honor of Bruce's daughter, a leukemia survivor.

Today, TNT has become the most influential endurance sports training program for charity in the world, attracting more than 570,000 participants. Funding from LLS programs like TNT have helped LLS invest more than &875 million in research to develop treatments that are saving the lives of blood cancer patients today; smart drugs like Gleevec, Velcade, Dacogen, and Sprycel that target cancer cells and kills them as well as immunotherapies that use a patients own immune system to eradicate cancer.

By joining team in training, you help us all get to the finish line. Your participation in TNT will help fund over 300 current LLS research projects showing enormous promise in finding cures. Join a full or half marathon, triathlon, or cycling event, and TNT coaches and mentors will help you achieve personal goals you never thought you could reach.

Training includes workouts, nutrition, hydration and injury prevention clinics, and staff members will guid you through the fundraising process, making it easier to raise funds. You'll reach new levels of fitness- and you'll be helping us save lives not someday, but today.
