Mason High pays tribute to a former student.

Richard Marsh Remembered in Sunday Memorial Service

Richard Marsh, a former student at , was honored in a memorial service Sunday afternoon at the school. Marsh, 16, died Nov. 16 in the Newport News area.  Marsh was a former student-athlete at Mason and in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to: Hoops For Youth Foundation, 10623 Jones St., Suite 101-A
Fairfax, VA 22030.

New Bagel Store Opening Monday With Giveaways

Bruegger’s Bakery-Café will open their first Falls Church store Monday morning at 7393-D Lee Highway in The Shops of West Falls Church. To celebrate the opening, Bruegger’s will offer 200 guests free coffee, tea or soda for the month of December. To take advantage of the offer, guests can purchase a “Bottomless Mug Trial Card” for just $5.00, starting on Monday, Nov. 28. All proceeds from the card benefit the Children’s National Medical Center, as part of Bruegger’s ongoing partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. In addition, guests will have the chance to enter to win an iPad 2. Starting opening day, entries can be submitted at the bakery and a winner will be selected in mid-December.

As part of the ’s 50th Jubilee, Safrai Gallery will be setting up their art gallery for show and sale from December 1-4.  Menachem Safrai, the grandson of the renowned Safrai Fine Art Gallery established in Jerusalem in 1935, will bring more than 1500 works, including original oil paintings, watercolors, lithographs and etchings by Israeli artists to view and purchase.  He will be available all four days to answer questions about the Israeli artists and art scene. The Safrai event is free and open to the public.

This evening only, receive a $50 coupon off any purchase of $500 or more that can be used throughout the show.
