Set Yourself Up For Success, Not Failure

Plan for success to really see results.

We are a month into 2012 and setting the pace for the rest of the year.

Have you succeeded in your resolutions so far? Are you making physically and emotionally healthy decisions?  "Healthy living is about taking responsibility and making smart health choices for today and for the future." (Healthy-Holistic-Living.com)

If you are someone that has decided to lose weight this year, make sure your consistent. Don't create a list of outrageous goals that you've already let fall by the wayside. If you decided on Jan. 1, 2012 that you needed to lose a certain amount of weight, did you consult with a professional when you made your plan?  Did you consider your current diet and lifestyle and how you should modify it?  We all make out resolutions because we feel that within a year we have plenty of time to transform our lives. I agree, it is.

The first health tip of this year was about making it a point to do things that make you happy. Have you been successful with that?  All of these elements of wellness help to create a balanced you. If your stressors are at work, figure out a way to LEAVE WORK AT WORK!  Don't take the stress home with you. The job isn't paying you enough. If you can, use your lunch break to incorporate something from the list of what makes you happy.

On the other hand, if your stressors are at home, sometimes you have to steal even five minutes to just get out of your environment, and come back with your mind made up that nothing will take your happiness from you.

At the end of the day, we have all set some sort of goals for ourselves that will hopefully add to the wellness of our lives. What's most important is that we don't just pull down a goal without a plan. The plan helps to realize whether or not you have set a realistic goal and sometimes while planning, you may even find that you really aren't as passionate about your goal as you thought you were.

Set your ideas in place so that seeing them through will actually edify you. Try not to aim so high that you can no longer see your target. Health and wellness is more than just a physical way of life.
