Arson at a Falls Church Home Under Investigation

Home listed at more than $1.6 million still on the market.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue are investigating an intentionally set fire at a Falls Church home over the weekend.

According to a press release, Fairfax and Arlington County fire departments responded to a fire Saturday around 2:20 a.m. at 2142 Haycock Rd. Firefighters saw light smoke coming from the top floor of the large, yellow single family home.

The fire at the vacant home was quickly extinguished, according to fire officials. Damages are estimated at $25,000, according to the release.

The home is listed at more than $1.6 million on Washington Fine Properties, LLC. A message left at the realty company Wednesday was not immediately returned.

According to a Washington Fine Properties, LLC listing, the home has seven bedrooms, seven and a half bathrooms, formal living and dining rooms, a media room and a three-car garage.

Everytime it burns the guy who built it gets money from it. So it always be a arson fire. I'm sorry but the house is way to big, I feel bad for the people next to that house.
