Bandits Burglarize Home While Residents Asleep Inside

Banking information stolen from computer used to buy expensive items.

As they lay asleep inside their home in the 1300 block of Robinson Place, a City of Falls Church family became the victims of a burglary.

No one was hurt but the burglars made away with a laptop that they were able to get banking information from. Police said the alleged suspects were able to duplicate bank cards without the original cards by using information stored on the computer. The alleged suspects then used that information to try to make purchased at a large department store, police said.

Police believe the burglars went through an unlocked sliding door in the back of the home sometime between 8:30 p.m. on Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday.
