City of Falls Church Crime Report for Aug. 23 - Aug. 29

Sheela Datta, 31, of Herndon, was charged with public drunkenness and drinking in public in the 6700 block of Wilson Blvd. on Aug. 23.

Orlando P. Silveira, 28, of Alexandria, was charged with driving under the influence in the 100 block of S. West St. on Aug. 23.

Watson T. Keels, 52, of Arlington, was charged with public drunkenness in the 100 block of E. Columbia St. on Aug. 23. Keel was also held on a U.S. Marshall’s Office warrant for a probation violation.

City of Falls Church Police recovered a car stolen from the 1200 block of Ellison St. on Aug. 24. The car was found in Prince William County.

City of Falls Church Police are investigating a report of school yard recreation equipment and a picnic table being vandalized on Aug. 24 in the 600 block of Oak St.

Dong N. Hoang, 26, of Riverdale, Md., was charged with trespassing, public drunkenness and smoking in a non-designated area in the 6700 block of Wilson Blvd. on Aug. 24.

City of Falls Church Police are investigating a theft of a purse from a building in the 400 block of S. Washington St. on Aug. 24.

City of Falls Church Police are investigating a report of stolen fire alarm control box from a building in the 6700 block of Wilson Blvd. on Aug. 25.

Saagar C. Mehta, 24, of Fairfax, was charged with shoplifting in the 6600 block of Wilson Blvd. on Aug. 25.

City of Falls Church Police are investigating a report of a stolen iPod Touch and other items from an unattended backpack in the 800 block of w. Broad St. on Aug. 25.

City of Falls Church Police are investigating a report of two airbags stolen from inside two separate cars in the 100 block of W. Jefferson St. on Aug. 26.

Steven K. Springston, 54, of Falls Church, was charged with driving under the influence in the 100 block of W. Greenway Blvd. on Aug. 27.

Mang T. Lac, 54, of Silver Spring, Md., was charged with littering in the 6700 block of Wilson Blvd. on Aug. 28.

City of Falls Church Police are investigating a report of an iPod Touch and cell phone stolen from an unattended backpack in the 200 block of Little Falls St. on Aug. 28.

Edgar I. Sorto, 32, of Herndon, was charged with driving under the influence in the 1000 block of E. Broad St. on Aug. 28.

City of Falls Church Police are investigating a report of a customer leaving a restaurant in the 300 block of Hillwood Ave. on Aug. 29 who was allegedly assaulted by three Hispanic males.  The victim reported his wallet was stolen and he was stabbed during the altercation.  The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
