City of Falls Church Crime Report for Aug. 19 to Aug. 26

Panhandling: On Aug. 19, Vicki L. Bodo, 50, of Arlington, was arrested in the 500 block Roosevelt Blvd. and released on summons for Panhandling.

City of Falls Church Police are investigating a burglary which took place sometime overnight on Aug. 20 in the 500 block of Meridian St. 

Didier A. Salgado, 38, of Falls Church, was arrested for Obstruction of Justice and False ID to Law Enforcement on Aug. 20, when an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver provided a false name to the officer, police said.

Dung A. Hoang, 44, of Annandale was arrested on Aug. 21 for Obstruction of Justice and Public Drunkenness in the 6700 block of Wilson Blvd.

Simple Assault: On Aug. 21, a female reported she had been assaulted on Aug. 18 in the 100 block of N.Washington St., during a church service by an unknown female.

Larceny: On Aug. 23, a female reported that her laptop was taken out of her unlocked vehicle by an unknown subject(s) in the 1000 block of E. Broad St. on Aug. 21.

Driving Under the Influence and Refusal, 134 W. Broad St. On Aug. 24, Hani Omarah, 42 of Springfield, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, and Refusal to submit to a breath test.

Destruction of Property, 205 Hillwood Ave. On Aug. 24, a subject reported that an unknown individual(s) placed a glass beer bottle under his vehicle tire, causing it to flatten.

Shoplifting, 1200 W. Broad St. (Citgo)On Aug. 24, a subject described as a white male wearing a black t-shirt, and cargo shorts entered the establishment and stole two cartons of Newport cigarettes.

Driving Under the Influence, Hillwood Ave/S. Washington St. On Aug. 24, Jacqueline Warner, 34 of Woodbridge, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence after crashing her vehicle up guide wires attached to a utility line.

Driving Under the Influence, 400 S. Washington St. On Aug. 25, Kelsey Churchill, 23 of Bethesda, Md. was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Larceny from Vehicle, 600 block Fulton Ave. On Aug. 25, all four tires were stolen from a Honda Fit some time between the hours of 11 pm and 7 am.

Larceny, 300 block Shirley St. On Aug. 25, a green women’s mountain bike was stolen from the exterior of a building.

Liquor Law Violations, 500 block S. Washington St. On Aug. 25, Travis Williams, 22 of Reston was issued a traffic summons for having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.
