Falls Church City Cops Investigating Sexual Assault

Police having troubling corroborating physical evidence and victim's story.

Falls Church City Police are looking for the man who allegedly hit a woman in the head and sexually assaulted her at about 5 a.m. on April 22.

Police said the woman reported the alleged incident to them a day after it happened and initially said the assault happened between the 100 and 200 blocks of S. Washington St. After the woman was questioned, police said the woman told them the incident actually happened in the 100 block of W. Annandale Rd. as she walked to her car in a parking lot behind her home.

The woman reported that a man hit her in the head causing her to fall to her knees. When she woke up, the woman said her pants had been pulled down.

Police said the woman did not see her alleged attacker and detectives have had difficulty corroborating physical evidence and the victim’s story.
