Falls Church Man Held on Charges of Stabbing to Death Roommate

Police apprehend suspect hiding near building.

A 32-year-old Falls Church man is facing murder charges in the stabbing death of his roommate, according to news reports.

Marlon Oswaldo Gudiel Polanco, 32, allegedly stabbed Alvaro Zepeda, 44, to death early Thursday morning inside the apartment they shared in the 2900 block of John Marshall Drive, according to The Washington Post. An adult female also suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Polanco fled on foot after the stabbing, the Post reported, and was found hiding near the building.

Zepeda’s older brother, Rubelio Zepeda, told the paper his brother was attacked from behind as he was coming out of the bathroom to get ready for work.
