Falls Church Police Offer Rape Aggression Defense Course

Free program begins Tuesday night.

The City of Falls Church Police Department is offering a free Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) program that begins Tuesday, to teach women realistic self-defense tactics and techniques.

  • Who: Women ages 12 and up
  • What: Rape Aggression Defense Program
  • When: December 3, 5, 10, and 12; from 6 to 9 p.m. (all four courses required)
  • Where: St. James School (905 Park Ave., Falls Church)

Taught by nationally certified RAD instructors from the City of Falls Church Police Department, the RAD program is a comprehensive, women-only course that addresses awareness, prevention, risk reduction, risk avoidance, and the basics of hands-on self-defense training. RAD is not a martial arts program.
