Feds Offer Up to $50,000 for Information on Robbers Who Held Up Post Office

Armed robbery took place last week at Seven Corners Center in Falls Church.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the armed robbery of the Seven Corners Post Office.

The robbers walked into the post office at about 11:15 a.m. last Thursday at 6375 Seven Corners Center in Falls Church.    

Postal Inspectors and Fairfax County Police are jointly investigating the incident, in which one suspect entered the post office, vaulted the retail counter and demanded money from a postal employee. A second suspect stood near an exit, while displaying a handgun. Both suspects fled on foot.

Both robbers were described as black males between 19 and 25 years old.

The armed man was described as 5 feet 11 to 6 feet 1 inches tall with a thin build and reportedly wore a white mask, dark-colored shirt over a white long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and a dark baseball cap. He held a black and silver semi-automatic handgun.

The man who jumped the counter was 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 9 inches tall and of average build. He reportedly wore a dark shirt, blue jeans and a dark baseball cap and covered his face by pulling up his shirt.

Anyone who has any information regarding this crime is urged to contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 877-876-2455, or the Fairfax County Police Department at 703-691-2131.  Do not take any action to apprehend the suspects.  All information will be kept confidential.

Armed robbery of a U.S. post office is a violation of Title 18, U.S. Code, Section 2114, and is punishable by a prison term of up to 10 years and a fine of up to $10,000.
