Halloween: Cops Join Forces for 'Extra Eyes for DWIs'

Seven law enforcement departments will join together for Extra Eyes for DWIs starting at 7 p.m. Oct. 31.

Law enforcement agencies across the region will conduct saturation patrols detecting and arresting drunk drivers starting at 7 p.m. on Halloween, which is Thursday.

Officers from Falls Church, Vienna, Fairfax County, the city of Fairfax, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, the U.S. Park Police and the Virginia State Police will be involved in this year's Extra Eyes for DWIs campaign, according to a news release.

The program will saturate streets in different jurisdictions while law enforcement officers specifically target those who may be drinking and driving.
