Illegal Falls Church Cantina Shut Down

Alleged suspect accused of serving food and beer from her home.

A Falls Church woman is facing two counts of selling alcohol without a license from her home after special agents from the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control searched her home.

According to an ABC release, on Friday Marisol Alarcon Montera, 40, of the 6400 block of Maplewood Dr., had two dining tables in her living room and agents also found $609 in cash inside the home. Agents were tipped off about the operation and launched a six-month investigation and at times purchased beer in the home.

Montera allegedly also sold food from her home.

According to the release, Montera faces up to a year in jail and a maximum fine of $2,500.
